An exciting story for Passover

It was a bright and cold evening as I sat outside on the porch. On the round mosaic table on the balcony, a glass cup with muddy coffee remains at the bottom. And see, it's a miracle. On one of the inner walls of the glass, there was a tiny slug. Let's be honest; it's a relatively rare and unexpected sight in our districts.

I immediately turned (how could I not?) to the source. Slug - "a snail without a shell, with two pairs of hexagons popping out on its head." In addition to the dictionary definition, I also looked for the spiritual aspect to learn what qualities this animal brings.

Totem - naked.

"As an animal without a home, the naked slug is a powerful symbol, like a totem in shamans' ceremonies. It reminds us that enlightenment is within us. Thus, when it appears exposed before us, it reveals an opening for an exciting path, and we are open to higher experiences.

When we suddenly see a naked snail appear, we'll know it didn't just appear. It advanced to its destination from within, focusing on the goal with determination and a slow and steady pace. It teaches us how to confidently navigate the unknown darkness, no matter what is on the way. We are always moving forward!".

   

After reading this text, I wanted to express the occurrence revealed to me that day. Working on the design, I sought to incorporate elements that hint at the tiny slug. Pair of delicate hexagons that come together from a smooth, natural element. And here is what came out of it:

      

      

      

The rings have a round profile and a tiny hexagon inlaid with precious gemstones. Their matte finish and tiny hexagons give them a natural look and bring a smile to my face. This is what I felt when I saw this little slug inside my coffee cup.
