When The Source Turns Into Inspiration
Many artists, such as painters, designers, architects, and musicians, have found inspiration in nature throughout history. Nature provides abundant knowledge and beauty, which can be transformed into valuable aesthetic creations. In essence, nature is a work of art, capable of profoundly touching our senses with its endless wonders and beauty.
Growing up in a kibbutz, I immersed myself in the earth's and nature's aromas, examining every seed and stone and envisioning them as sparkling treasures. Even during my studies in Jerusalem, at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, in the Jewelry design department, where the focus was on working with various metals, my heart yearned to return to nature, to its gentleness, its paper-like textures, and to find living materials that would lend themselves to creative exploration.
I quickly fell in love with paper and cardboard. With these materials, I was able to create jewelry pieces that were soft and warm, with unique textures that only paper can provide.
Nevertheless, nature remains a significant part of my creative process. I continue to gather and harness nature's diverse possibilities, whether by replicating a natural element in its entirety through gold or by designing jewelry that draws inspiration from the natural world.
